OUR HISTORY
In January 2016, Sean and Becky McKay were finally able to do something that had been on their hearts for years: start a ministry that would start a movement in the young men and women living in their community and also, Lord willing, living abroad. That ministry involves training youth in not only how to excel in the game of basketball but also how excel in life—by daily engaging with God, overcoming adversity, rejecting passivity, accepting responsibility, and ultimately, leading courageously!
The McKays had no initial idea how many people would want to be a part of 4031, but God showed up—and the number of responses was overwhelming. Nearly 60 young men and women wanted to be a part of what was started; in fact, so many were interested in playing basketball for 4031 that, unfortunately, the ministry could not accommodate them all. So, there is reason to grow!
4031 began its training ministry in the spring of 2016, moving forward with five basketball teams, lots of devotions, and many stories to tell.
